Ping Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Our culture, our community, your future
At Ping Identity, we believe in championing every identity. We are committed to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment that ultimately creates a sense of belonging for all Identians. When we think about DEI, we think of it in its broadest sense, including—but, not limited to—family or marital status, generation, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, diversity of thought, ethnicity, race, language, geography, national origin, visible and invisible abilities, socio-economic status, veteran status and/or religion that make our employees unique.
Achieving a sense of belonging is at the heart of our efforts to raise up all Identians. Only when we truly listen and hear each other, explore different points of view and celebrate what makes each of us unique, can we create a culture that strives to make each and every one of us feel safe at work.
At Ping Identity, we aspire to build a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture that fosters a place of belonging for everyone.
We’re aspiring to build a workplace where all Identians belong and thrive.
We believe having a diversity strategy is a business imperative. 2022 is a pivotal year as we set a multi-pronged strategy starting with building the foundation for our diversity efforts year-over-year. Ultimately, our goal is to foster a place of belonging for every Identian.
To support us in our journey we have partnered with premiere diversity organizations. Through these partnerships, we broaden our access to diverse talent in recruitment and also offer learning and resource opportunities to our employees.
Ping Identity was the presenting sponsor for Denver-based Girls & Science and featured female software engineers as mentors, gave STEAM career advice, and provided real-life scenarios on “proving your identity” to introduce and get young girls excited about careers in digital identity and cyber security.
Aligned with our business strategy, we’ve identified four areas of focus to drive change:
The Ping Way—enforce our core values, including respecting diversity
Talent & Sustainability—improve attraction, retention, development and engagement of Identians
Innovation and Business Success—encourage leadership accountability and set key metrics and goals to monitor our progress
Community Commitment—support passionate Identians wanting to make a difference in their communities
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
ERGs are an exciting way to get involved and open to everyone! They drive recruitment, improve retention and engagement of our Identians, and help foster a place of belonging for all.
Women of Ping
Committed to promoting inclusivity as well as personal and professional growth of all genders and gender identities. We are building a community that promotes diversity awareness and fosters the development of female youth and women both within local communities and Ping.
Amplifying, celebrating, and supporting the voices of all LGBTQ+ Identians and allies—helping Ping to realize the full value of our community while also supporting our broader DEI strategy/imperatives.
Racial & Ethnic Diversity (RED)
Celebrating differences as strengths, not weaknesses, and empowering Identians to bring their authentic selves to work, especially for those with racial and ethnic backgrounds that are underrepresented in tech.
Ping Young Professionals
Grow Personally, Grow Professionally, Grow Ping
Facilitating growth and development of rising talent and new leadership who are contributing to future innovation at Ping.
Providing resources and support for Identians of all types of families including—but not limited to—working parents, non-parents, individuals, and caregivers. We are committed to creating opportunities for open dialogue, advocating for work/life balance and leading positive action to promote a flexible, family-friendly culture.
Making Ping a Disability-confident organization, leading the industry in Accessible Identity. We will ensure that the only reason people can’t access products and services secured by Ping is because they aren’t authorized; not because they’re inaccessible.
Helping Hands Day
Ping is hosting its first all-staff volunteer day on May 9th, 2023—a day for all Identians to show support for our communities. At Ping Identity, culture is not a spectator sport, and neither is the support needed from our communities and the people in them. Serving our local communities is a great way to find your “one” and bring the impossible to not impossible. Follow along on social media using the hashtag #PingHelpingHandsDay.
An important part of our journey includes understanding where we are as a company. Check out our first DEI annual report which includes our mission and approach, employee demographics, and a few key successes over the past year.
“Ping Proud promotes and celebrates our LGBTQ+ Identians and allies. We are a safe space, and we seek to create more safe spaces for our LGBTQ+ community, both internally at PIng Identity and in our community-at-large. We sponsor and promote robust and beneficial policies at Ping Identity as well as broader community initiatives. Ping Proud, like Ping Identity, champions and celebrates LGBTQ+ identities for they are beautiful, unique and are our greatest assets.”

“The Accessibilities@Ping ERG is helping Ping’s goal to lead the market in accessible identity but more than that, ERGs provide a community of like minded people who believe in the possible and a safe space where passions can be shared, ideas can be nurtured, goals can be influenced and plans can be actioned. It is also a place to share stories and celebrate diversity.”
