Verifiable credentials represent identification records, entitlements, and authorizations that are held by the owner. How It Works
PingOne Credentials lets organizations issue credentials based on defined attributes. From PingOne Credentials, organizations can establish policies and customize digital credentials that can be automatically issued to a user or group of users. The credential consists of any attribute that can be attached to a person. It also contains information about the credential itself, including the issuer, whom it was issued to, and specific data attributes. Credentials are cryptographically secure to ensure provenance of the credential.

Using a push notification, users can be invited to create credentials that will be automatically published to the digital wallet.

PingOne Credentials has consent built in. Explicit consent by the credential owner is required in order to share a verifiable credential. Additionally, verifiable credentials provide selective consent, allowing the owner to share only specific identity attributes they allow.
