Challenge

After receiving FBI intelligence on emerging identity threats, Ping proactively set out to reverify its global workforce and establish a higher standard for continuous identity assurance across modern enterprises.

Results

Ping reverified employees across 34 countries in three weeks, achieving 97% compliance while maintaining business continuity and proving a scalable verification model.

Objective

Ping set out to elevate workforce identity assurance by applying its Verified Onboarding capabilities to a real-world challenge. The goal was to move beyond one-time verification and operationalize a continuous model aligned to its Verified Trust approach—ensuring every employee identity could be verified with high confidence while preserving a seamless user experience.

Challenge

Following FBI briefings that revealed more than 300 U.S. companies had unknowingly hired state-sponsored actors using stolen identities, Ping recognized an opportunity to lead by example. Given the rise of sophisticated, AI-born attacks like deepfakes, Ping chose to apply its own Verified Onboarding approach—proactively reverifying its workforce and demonstrating a higher standard for identity assurance in practice.

Solution

Ping launched a global Verified Trust (re-onboarding) initiative, using its own universal services and the Ping Identity Platform to strengthen workforce identity assurance. The solution combined biometric verification, document authentication, and device trust into a seamless flow completed in under two minutes.

A low-friction “sidecar” approach enabled employees to complete re-onboarding without interrupting work, while orchestrating automated exception handling across HR, IT, and security teams.

Results

Through Verified Onboarding, Ping reverified its workforce across 34 countries in just three weeks, achieving 97% compliance with minimal disruption and an average verification time of under two minutes.

Most employees completed verification on the first attempt, while orchestration streamlined exception handling at scale. Verified Trust strengthened Ping’s security posture and is now a foundation for continuous workforce onboarding and verification.
