Shipping and Logistics Global Leader Maersk Improves Service and Productivity While Reducing Costs and Complexity

So Maersk operates in around 134 countries today, and it has around 88,000 employees.
And we're the market leader in Container Logistics.
We have around 15% market share, and every year we ship around 10 million containers from Different places in the world.
On top of it, we have around 76 ports operating in more than 15 countries.
So quite a vast logistics network.
The expectations of our clients are going up, So we need to become a lot, lot faster.
So in 2016 we had a new strategy, right?
Morse announced very boldly to the world that it will become the global integrator of container Logistics that connect and simplify our customer supply chains.
And what does this mean is that we need to provide a lot more end-to-end solution instead of targeted and tactical solutions for our customers.
Imagine that you have Electric Car Manufacturers, right, And they need to ship batteries from one point to the world to the other point of the world.
They're not just looking to arrange the container transportation, Right?
Batteries are considered dangerous cargo.
And for this, you need a special container type which is refrigerated to control the temperature Temperature.
You need to have special customs clearance and Then you need to transport them somewhere inland.
Those end-to-end solutions that specifically answer our customer needs are paramount.
Our success as part of this journey we're looking to reuse those capabilities so that we Don't build a separate capability for each solution, but we're actually being able to Reuse them across business products and solutions.
We're using ForgeRock for our customer identity and access management solution, So we're using Authenticate for any one of our customers, and most recently we have rolled it Out also to authenticate our partners in supply chain and logistics.
Platform that we're building and also in our Inland platform to authenticate our vendors and It's core part of our solutions that we build on the cloud.
ForgeRock is pivotal for everything that we do across the channels, Right?
I'm in charge of digital engagement Platform, so this goes for all our customers and vendors across all the digital channels.
So ForgeRock authenticates anyone of our customers across mobile, Across web.
Across API, across EDI, right, so it's quite important for us, and it's not only for the Logins that customers see and partners see and use, but also to authenticate machine to Machine traffic right through ForgeRock tokens and access tokens and also ForgeRock is embedded In the onboarding journey that we use on our channels when people register and we provide The right access for the different personas at our vendors and partners.
