Ping Identity’s Responsible AI Principles

At Ping Identity, trust is at the core of everything we do. As artificial intelligence technologies become increasingly integrated into digital experiences and security solutions, we are committed to developing and using AI in a manner that is responsible and secure.

These Responsible AI Principles describe how we may use AI across our products, services, and business operations; the principles that guide our approach; and the measures we design to deploy AI in a way that supports security, privacy, and customer trust.

Transparency

We believe that transparency is essential to building and maintaining trust in AI. We are committed to providing clear and meaningful information about how AI is used across our products, services, and business operations, including the purpose of AI-enabled capabilities and their limitations.

We use AI technology to support product capabilities, improve customer experiences, enhance security outcomes,  improve operational efficiency, and support responsible innovation. For more information about how we use AI in our products and services, please visit our Trust Center.

Where AI-enabled capabilities are made available, we strive to provide clear information about the purpose, intended use, and limitations. We also seek to communicate when AI plays a meaningful role in the user experience.

Governance, Controls & Security

We apply risk-based governance and controls to the development, procurement, deployment, and use of AI technology. Depending on the use case and level of risk, these may include security, privacy, legal and compliance reviews, testing, access controls, approval processes, and lifecycle oversight.

Our AI governance approach is designed to develop and use AI-enabled capabilities in a manner consistent with applicable laws, customer commitments, internal policies, and our broader security, privacy, and compliance programs.

We seek to limit data inputs to what is reasonably necessary for the intended purpose and apply appropriate safeguards when processing personal, confidential, biometric, customer, or security-related information.

As AI technologies, risks, and regulatory requirements evolve, we are committed to continuously reviewing and strengthening our governance practices, controls, and oversight processes.

Human Oversight & Accountability

AI technology is intended to assist human judgment, not replace it.

We apply appropriate human review, validation, and oversight based on the nature and risk of the use case. AI systems are designed to support human accountability, established approval processes, professional judgment, and appropriate escalation paths.

AI-generated outputs are intended to assist users and should not be considered a substitute for human judgment and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or unsuitable for a particular use case. Customers remain responsible for reviewing outputs, validating their accuracy and suitability, and making all final decisions based on their own assessment.

We take reasonable steps designed to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with AI technologies, including risks related to accuracy, reliability, security, privacy, and harmful or inappropriate outputs.

Where applicable, we seek to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with unintended bias, discriminatory outcomes, and other adverse impacts that may arise from the use of AI technologies. We implement safeguards and oversight measures appropriate to the intended use case and associated risk profile.

Updates to this Statement

Our AI capabilities, governance practices, and applicable legal requirements will continue to evolve. We may update this statement periodically to reflect changes in our AI-enabled products, services, internal practices, governance approach, or regulatory obligations.
