New Installation
Download and run the Windows installer (MSI) to install your first PingAccess installation on a Windows server. The Windows installer creates a WIndows service for PingAccess automatically.
Upgrade
If the source of the previous installation is the PingAccess Windows Installer, download and run the new installer to upgrade.
Download and extract the product distribution ZIP file to the desired location on a Linux-based server and configure the system service for PingAccess manually.
If the source of the previous installation is the PingAccess product distribution ZIP file, download and extract the product distribution ZIP file to the desired location on your server, use the Upgrade Utility to upgrade, and re-configure the system service for PingAccess manually.
Maintenance Update
Update your existing 8.1 environment to the latest maintenance release.
Option 1
Follow the Upgrade procedure for your installation as noted.
Option 2
Download and use the in-place update ZIP file to update the current installation to the latest maintenance release.
