a good thing!
TOKYO – June 14, 2010 – ForgeRock, an open source software company started by former Sun Microsystems executives in February 2010, and Open Source Solution Technology (OSSTech, CEO: Koji Odagiri) have reached an agreement on joint development of OpenAM Identity Management software. ForgeRock OpenAM (based on OpenSSO) is an open source access management, entitlements and federation server platform that was initially created by Sun Microsystems. For more information visit: ForgeRock.com or osstech.co.jp
OSSTech will submit all newly created OpenSSO improvements/contributions to the ForgeRock maintained OpenAM project. Moving forward, all future contributions and collective work will be focused on one single project, OpenAM.
ForgeRock and OSSTech will work jointly to provide OpenAM support services and training globally to customers requiring integrated authentication authorization systems for today’s cloud environment. The first steps will be that both companies will provide co-ordinated local-language product support to mutual customers that have offices and branches in Japan and worldwide. Global companies can take advantage of this service when adopting OpenAM.
ForgeRock AS, based in Norway with subsidiaries in the US and the UK, is committed to continuity of innovation and service for the existing and new open source interaction, identity, and integration software found within the I3 platform. ForgeRock will provide customers with enterprise-class subscriptions for the platform as well as training and access to an extensive partner community.
Established in September 2006, OSSTech has been providing high-performance and cost-effective authentication and authorization solutions (Integrated Authentication, SSO, Integrated ID Management) based on Open Source Software.
