THE OBJECTIVE

As eHealth grew and expanded its online presence, a primary objective was to implement an Identity as a Service (IDaaS) solution that would allow customers to move fluidly among web properties and applications using a single login. The health insurance firm sought to deliver rapid page load times and support usage spikes with no degradation in performance, while also lowering IT costs via reduced support calls.

 

THE CHALLENGE

The company faced three main challenges. One, customers had to track multiple login credentials across eHealth properties and channels. Two, other IDaaS offerings failed to support page load time goals of less than one second. And three, eHealth needed to ensure secure access to sensitive health information for its millions of customers.
