Ping Identity CEO Celebrated with Prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from Colorado Technology Association

Andre Durand Honored with a 2017 APEX Award for His Leadership in Advancing Innovation in the Colorado Technology Community

Denver — November 9, 2017

Ping Identity, the leader in Identity Defined Security, is pleased to announce that CEO Andre Durand received the “Bob Newman Lifetime Achievement Award” in this year’s 17th Annual APEX Awards program. The APEX awards are produced by Colorado Technology Association (CTA), a professional network focused on fueling the state’s economy through technology. The ceremony took place at the Seawell Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) in Denver on Wednesday, November 8.

The honor recognizes Durand’s outstanding achievements to furthering innovative, disruptive technology across the industry. Part of the evaluation criteria focuses on contributions made in advancing technology in the state of Colorado and demonstrating proactive leadership within the CTA community. As the founder of Ping Identity, his efforts have brought attention to the state by growing one of the most highly-valued companies in the identity security sector, and have made him a champion for driving awareness of Colorado’s vibrant tech ecosystem to outside investors.

The judges, past years’ recipients of this award, cited multiple themes that made Durand a clear winner for this award category. He successfully managed several major rounds of fundraising with a strong commitment to remaining a Colorado-based company. As a CTA Board Member, Durand has been a vocal supporter of the Colorado tech community, contributing time and thought leadership towards strategic economic and workforce development initiatives on the organization’s behalf. This is in addition to the time Ping Identity donates volunteering for local charities and participating in community service activities.

“The Bob Newman Lifetime Achievement award goes to the individuals with a true dedication to driving and maintaining the good health of Colorado’s tech economy,” says Andrea Young, president and CEO of Colorado Technology Association. “We’re delighted to see Andre Durand join the ranks of our previous and impressive lifetime achievement award winners. This distinction celebrates his accomplishments as a business leader who gives back to our state, and acknowledges Andre’s steadfast work in making Ping Identity a well-respected global brand in innovation and tech based here in Colorado.”
