Ping Identity Appoints Brian Bell Chief Marketing Officer

Ping Identity®, The Identity Security CompanyTM, today announced that enterprise cloud software veteran Brian Bell has joined the company as chief marketing officer. Bell’s appointment follows on the heels of several other new executive hires Ping Identity has recently made to meet increased demand among large enterprises for its cloud identity security solutions. Bringing decades of experience to the Ping Identity team, Bell and the other new executive members will lead the company’s continued expansion into the enterprise market in the wake of new requirements for corporate and consumer identity security.
Bell will oversee all aspects of the Ping Identity’s global marketing strategy, from demand generation and branding to product messaging and corporate communications, playing an integral role in furthering its position as the market leader in identity security. This will include evangelizing how Ping helps large companies shape a comprehensive identity strategy that goes beyond corporate single sign-on deployments to address secure and convenient identity access for consumers and partners. Bell will lead Ping Identity’s marketing operations from San Francisco as the company expands its sales and marketing team in the Bay Area to support rapid growth.

Bell comes to Ping Identity from Zuora, where he served as CMO. While at Zuora, Bell built a world-class team that defined the market for the "Subscription Economy," a term that is widely used to describe the shift to consumption and commerce, and established Zuora as the clear forerunner in this new category. Previously, Bell was general manager at CA Technologies where he helped transition on-premise application businesses to subscription cloud services. Bell also spent several years at the Boston Consulting Group and held senior marketing and business development roles at BMC Software and Extricity.
