Dealing with Our App-Centric Future: Box’s Outlook

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — June 28, 2013 — At next month’s Cloud Identity Summit 2013, Box Chief Operating Officer Dan Levin will deliver a keynote presentation exploring how organizations can manage as enterprise computing moves rapidly toward a device-independent, app-centric world.

 

Beginning with an overview of current challenges brought on by the growing mobile workforce, Levin will discuss the tremendous changes in store for enterprise IT architectures in the future. In particular, he will discuss why a device- and app-independent approach will be critical to dealing with identity, permissions and content.

Dan Levin is the Chief Operating Officer of Box. Prior to his engagement with Box, Dan spent 6+ years at Intuit in a variety of roles including Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Small Business Group, Vice President and General Manager of the Quicken Health Group and Vice President of Product Management. Previously, Dan spent thirteen years in venture-backed startups, including senior executive roles at ReplayTV which was acquired by Sonic Blue (SVP and CTO), GuestConnect which was acquired by 4th Network (founder and CEO) and Books That Work which was acquired by Sierra On-Line (co-founder and President).
