Single Sign-on to Office 365 Provides Secure Employee Access to Cybersecurity Firm
When a cybersecurity company has built a reputation on helping organizations avert threats, reduce risk and turn security into a competitive advantage, choosing a secure identity and access management solution is a high-stakes endeavor.
That’s the situation Coalfire found themselves in. The enterprise was driving forward a security initiative that included multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO) and multi-device management. They needed to ensure their environment could not only pass their own audits, but also offer the highest level of security for their clients.
And they needed to do so for a set of cloud-based applications, including Microsoft Office 365, that created a number of authentication challenges and risks.
“Our end users have a plethora of different use cases, so we did a lot of testing: Skype, Mail and Sharepoint, on and and off VPN, on different operating systems and browsers,” said Coalfire Project Manager Jackie Kramers. Ultimately, the company selected Ping Identity, in part because as a partner to Microsoft, PingFederate is officially supported as a federation server for Azure Active Directory for secure, one-click access to applications such as Office 365.
