Just how many passwords should your employees have to remember?
For the National Restaurant Association (NRA), the answer was simple: one. But the association's users were having difficulty tracking and remembering different sign-on credentials for an expanding number of applications. This in turn led to increased help desk calls, and the lack of fast access hindered productivity.
Security was also a challenge for the organization. Because some of the applications are SaaS-based, there was an added security risk associated with these apps. And without proper provisioning or deprovisioning in place, employees could access applications even after leaving the company.
The NRA solved these challenges by implementing single sign-on (SSO) from Ping Identity. Employees now use PingFederate to access a wide range of SaaS and internal applications, and they only need to remember one username and password to do so. As a result, the organization has realized an increase in employee productivity and a reduction in the support burden.
