Ah, yes. Those seedlings have broken ground, and the blossoms are opening up. It kind of reminds us of the journey that so many make here at Ping.
We foster a culture where careers can really take root. And once you have a strong footing, you can reach as far skyward as you want. Like this week's featured PingIdentian, James Heslop, one of our star corporate account managers in London (yes, London), he sees "massive" opportunity for growth on his own career path.
In this second blog of the series, let's see what James has to say about his experience at Ping. We've left the English nuances in his responses, just to prove he's really British.
What was your background prior to joining Ping? Prior to Ping, I worked for a SaaS performance monitoring company which was acquired by CA. Up until that point, it was a great company to work for, reminiscent of Ping in its size, flexibility and drive for growth whilst doing all it can for its customers.
What was your first position at Ping? I joined Ping in January 2013 as an ISR for Northern EMEA-based customers.
What is your current position at Ping? I am now a Corporate Account Manager in the Northern EMEA territory.
What has been the biggest surprise about your career path at Ping? How even as a relatively new employee, I was given the reigns to some of the largest customers Ping has. It hasn't been plain sailing but a good challenge which I have really enjoyed and feel I've earnt.
What are your career expectations? To continue achieving my annual goals, become a senior AE and run some of the largest customer opportunities Ping has.
Do you feel Ping allows its employees the opportunity to grow? Yes, massively. The investment in the sales team is unlike many of my previous employers and many of my friends' employers. This year's Sales University confirms that Ping is driven to ensuring we have the best tools and knowledge to be the best.
