Microsoft Ignite was a tremendous success. It introduced the Microsoft world to the benefits of combining Azure Active Directory with PingAccess, and it introduced Ping to the large and vibrant Microsoft community. From Microsoft sessions to demos to crowds at the booth, the event in Atlanta had it all.
The week started off with a bang as Nasos Kladakis presented the identity track keynote to a standing-room only crowd. He opened with, "I want you to know everything about cloud identity and access management." In 75 minutes, he covered everything from introducing Ping CTO Patrick Harding to showing how PingAccess is extending Azure AD's reach to even more on-premises web applications. You can watch the session here, but you might want to lower the volume on your computer. Nasos gets very excited!
Girish Chander followed this up with a theater session that was also bursting at the seams with interested attendees. In this session, Girish dug deeper into the kinds of applications that Azure AD can now connect to with PingAccess. He gave a live demonstration of how easy it is for end users to merge the cloud and on-premises worlds. With this integration, enterprises aren't stuck to their legacy on-premises applications. They can still access them efficiently while putting their identity infrastructure in the cloud. Girish gave examples of how to connect to cloud applications, on-premises federated applications, on-premises legacy applications, mobile applications and even applications hidden behind legacy WAM solutions.
What does all of this mean for our enterprise customers? It means that it's easy to transition to the cloud, and the flow of traffic to our booth proved the strength of this message. When they heard that a public preview of the Azure AD/PingAccess integration will be available in early 2017, they flocked over to find out more. This whitepaper provides the details, And by downloading it, you'll get notified when the public preview is available.
Current Ping Identity customers were also excited to hear about the integration of PingFederate into Azure AD Connect. This integration makes it super simple for PingFederate customers to get up and running quickly and smoothly with Azure AD.
Microsoft is speaking in more detail at the upcoming IDENTIFY series in San Francisco and New York (the event was already hugely popular in London and Frankfurt). If you want even more details about this partnership and the product integrations, or if you just want the digital freedom to have secure one-click access from Azure AD to all of your applications, no matter where they are, register for free for IDENTIFY here.
Ping Identity is proud to be partnering with Microsoft and thankful for the opportunity to engage so many of Microsoft's customers and community at Ignite. We'll definitely be there again next year in Orlando!
