I love talking to customers. Especially when they describe PingFederate as, "...the Swiss Army knife of identity federation" and "...the most useful identity integration software ever created." So it's with great pleasure that today we up the ante even further, with the release of PingFederate 7.0.
In PingFederate 7.0, we attack the cross-domain, user-provisioning problem head-on by introducing support for a new standard called SCIM. Simply put, SCIM will drastically simplify user management and Active Directory integration with SaaS providers.
In addition to the above, PingFederate 7.0 now supports Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Office365 Single Sign-On, and 80 other enhancements, such as a new configuration interface, support for multiple languages and automated server tuning for optimal performance.
All in all, PingFederate 7 our best, easiest and most powerful PingFederate to date, adding critical features which will serve to both simplify and scale identity federation and business integration with partners, customers and cloud providers.
We're all about standards
We're religious about open identity standards because it's the only way to scale identity management, simplify cross-domain security and achieve the vision of a secure yet friction-free Internet.
Over the years, we've built our reputation on quality, customer service and open standards. Why are standards important? Because all of our solutions will free you from the vendor lock in of stack vendors. SAML for single sign-on, OAuth for secure API's and web services, SCIM for user provisioning and OpenID and OpenID Connect consumer & mobile SSO.
Our vision is that one day, these standards will become the TCP/IP stack equivalent for identity, enabling true portability of identity as a part of our Internet infrastructure.
To the cloud and back
While there are many reasons to love the flexibility of PingFederate, what you may not realize is the budding relationship we're building between PingFederate (our identity bridge) and PingOne, our identity-as-a-service offering.
As applications migrate to the cloud, and integrations with partners, suppliers and customers become ever more numerous and sophisticated, PingOne makes it easier than ever to establish and maintain those relationships.
Through PingOne, much of the heavy lifting of integrating SaaS applications with your existing identity management system or Active Directory is automatically done through our extensive library of pre-integrated SaaS applications. These integrations make SSO-to-the-cloud from any device a synch.
Enabling one-click to the cloud
And to make things easier from an end-user's perspective, you're going to love our new PingOne CloudDesktop, an add-on service for your PingFederate installation. Our CloudDesktop provides every employee with a beautiful menu for one-click access to both internal and cloud applications.
Many of our customers are now deploying the CloudDesktop company-wide with fantastic results. Delighting their management and sales teams and giving IT quick win in productivity and security. If you haven't done so, talk to your Ping sales representative about the CloudDesktop.
Securing the future hybrid enterprise
The future of the enterprise is access that is secure and instant from any device to any application. As that future approaches, Ping Identity's roadmap will serve as your guide.
Get on board with PingFederate 7.0 and you'll be one step closer to the next generation of identity management.
