a good thing!
Updated Twitter Cloud ID Connector
The Twitter REST API v1.1 ends support for plaintext HTTP connections on Jan. 14. Are you ready?
If you have downloaded and deployed any version of Ping's Twitter Cloud Identity Connector prior to version 1.2, connections to api.twitter.com that don't use SSL/TLS will be rejected.
Fortunately, preventing connection problems is simple:
Update your Twitter Cloud Identity Connector to version 1.2 or above.
Check the Twitter Dev site for details: dev.twitter.com, including a nice API status site. Follow the API at, what else? @twitterapi.
There's also a helpful Calendar of API changes page.
Find the updated connector on the pingidentity.com Support & Downloads page.
Refer to the Twitter Cloud Identity Connector documentation for information about installing and configuring the connector.
