The City of Waltham, Massachusetts, has declared today to be "Ping Identity Day". Why today?
It's Cyber Security Awareness Month. The Department of Homeland Security marks this month as an opportunity for all of us to review our readiness. So much of what we do each day is online -- banking, paying taxes, communicating with our customers and our families. It's important that each element is secure, especially our identity!
The City of Waltham has a long history of innovation -- from the Boston Manufacturing Company developing the process to take raw cotton to finished product in one plant, to the Waltham Watch Company manufacturing the first watches with interchangeable parts using an assembly line, to Raytheon creating radar and microwave ovens. Innovation is assisted by good governance.
Ping is celebrating the opening of our new Waltham office tonight. We're on 3rd Ave, right next to Route 128.
Coincidentally, Ping has released a new version of our PingOne software. PingOne for Groups introduces a freemium model for the first time.
