Installing PingFederate for the first time?

  1. Download PingFederate 6.5
  2. Request a license key using a business email address.
  3. Download the Quickstart Demo App
  4. Once you have received your license key, you can download add-on modules, as needed.
    

Upgrading an existing installation of PingFederate (6.x)?

  1. Download PingFederate 6.5
  2. Download the PingFederate Upgrade Utility.
  3. Request a new license key.

Upgrading from an older version of PingFederate?

If you use a version of PingFederate before 6.0, please log into our customer portal and open a new support case.


Start an Amazon AMI Instance

  1. Log into your Amazon AWS account.
  2. Open the EC2 tab and click "Launch Instance".
  3. Locate the PingFederate AMI in the Community listing by searching for "PingFederate" or the AMI ID; or, use one of the links below:
  4. Create or upload a Key Pair if you have not done so.
  5. Create a security group with ports 22, 9030, 9031, and 9999 open for source 0.0.0.0/0.
  6. Request a free evaluation license key.
  7. Open https://[Amazon EC2 Instance External DNS]:9999/pingfederate/

Note: These add-ons require the installation of PingFederate to operate. To download an add-on, you must have an active license and you must be logged on to the Ping Identity Web site with the email address used to obtain the license. If you are not already logged on, you will be asked to do so when you select an add-on product.
