Google/Ping Team for Universal Login

July 28, 2009 , Andre Durand | Ping Identity

Andre Durand

Ping Identity announced this morning that it has teamed with Google to enable SSO access from the Google Login to over 60 SaaS applications with a single click.

The new service, PingConnect, requires no software or hardware, and can be configured in hours. Once setup, the service allows users to access SaaS applications using their Google or Gmail login. Applications like Salesforce, Webex, Concur and Rearden Commerce to name a few.

Working closely with Google and Appirio (both a partner, customer and premiere Google Apps integrator), Ping designed the service for companies who used Gmail and Google Apps, but didn't want a separate login to access other SaaS applications.

The vision of PingConnect is to become an Internet Identity Switch(tm), enabling a wide array of complex cloud security integrations to occur in hours instead of months of heavy lifting.

Under the covers, PingConnect leverages PingFederate software, used by over 350 Fortune enterprises and SaaS vendors worldwide for Internet Single Sign-On.

PingConnect’s Universal SaaS login via Google Apps is available now from Ping Identity and Appirio.  Contact sales@pingidentity.com ( 1.877.898.2905 or 1.303.468.2882) or cloud@appirio.com ( 1.530.318.6863).
