Sxip Access Acquisition

Dear Colleague,

We started March with a bang, announcing the acquisition of the Sxip Access product line from Sxip Identity. The Sxip Access technology, customers and new team members will allow us to better serve our enterprise users who need to secure and streamline their integration with salesforce.com and Google Apps. New capabilities for user provisioning and de-provisioning will be added to our existing set of standards-based solutions for secure Internet SSO. The acquisition will also accelerate our SaaS program, where we've been busy helping SaaS vendors deploy SAML-compliant SSO.

As part of the acquisition, we've taken over the customer relationships and support contracts for all Sxip Access users. We'll work with these new customers, as well as our existing PingFederate® users, to understand how Sxip Access can be leveraged to solve a growing number of the enterprise requirements for federated security and integration.

On a personal note, we couldn't do what we're doing without your help, guidance and goodwill. Thank you for this. It makes our jobs easier and a lot more fun. While what we do likely only touches a small part of your universe of problems, we take our commitment to be different, and better, very seriously. Best-of-breed independent providers are rare these days. To win your confidence, we've committed ourselves to understanding the details, never failing on quality and always being there to support you.

Don't hesitate to contact us for more information, or click here to view the announcement. More details on our plans are forthcoming. Until then, we appreciate your continued support.

All the best,

Andre Durand

White Paper: SSO Over the Internet: The CISO's Misperceptions and Realities

In this new white paper, explore the results of an anonymous research study funded by Ping Identity, where seventeen Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and Information Security Officers across financial services, healthcare, education, insurance and business services were interviewed to learn their thoughts about single sign-on (SSO) that works over the Internet. This paper identifies three common misperceptions that the survey uncovered and provides clarifications to help readers understand the realities of delivering secure Internet SSO by deploying federated identity management.

White Paper: Secure Internet Single Sign-On 101

With the success of single sign-on (SSO) inside the enterprise, users are calling for interoperability outside of the enterprise's security domain to outsourced services, including business process outsourcing (BPO) and software as a service (SaaS) providers, and trading partners, as well as within the enterprise to affiliates and subsidiaries. Written for anyone interested in understanding how secure Internet SSO works, this white paper explores the limitations of current SSO implementations outside of a single security domain (including identity and access management systems and open source development) and introduces standalone secure Internet SSO as a solution.

Webinar: Secure Internet Single Sign-On for Enterprises

Thursday, March 27th, 2008 — 11:00 AM EDT (UTC/GMT-4 hours)
The Time is Now: The Enterprise Needs Secure Internet Single Sign-On

The pressure is on. The CISO does not want to be on the front page of the newspaper for another compromised password. The business owners want to provide direct access to their external applications. And the users are tired of remembering (and forgetting) twenty different usernames and passwords. But rumor has it that secure single sign-on over the Internet takes six to nine months to implement. If the enterprise continues to do nothing about it, a single stolen password can expose the organization’s critical information.
