Dear Colleague,
Federated Identity Management has entered a new phase of
market adoption in recent months. In response, Ping Identity
has released PingFederate 4.3 with new virtualization features
to support software on demand vendors as well as three new
integration kits for Citrix, SAP NetWeaver and WebSphere. We
continue to make PingFederate the easiest Federated Identity
Management solution to deploy and scale and we're paying
special attention to simplifying how our customers add
partners to their identity federations.
With many of
the technical hurdles now addressed, many of you have
requested assistance in educating your partners on the
benefits of Federated Identity Management. We've responded
with a bi-weekly Webinar series, new white papers to
distribute to your partners and an entire host of services
that allow you to practically outsource partner on-boarding to
Ping Identity.

| New Integration Kits Now Available |
New
PingFederate integration kits are available for Citrix,
SAP NetWeaver and WebSphere:
- Citrix
Integration Kit enables organizations to
provide external single sign-on (SSO) to applications
that have been virtualized with Citrix Presentation
Server 4.5 for employees, customers and business
partners.
- Integration
Kit for SAP NetWeaver allows an enterprise to
enable its NetWeaver users to Web SSO to non-NetWeaver
applications within the organization as well as to
external partner applications. In addition, a Service
Provider enterprise can provide SSO access to
NetWeaver applications.
- WebSphere
Integration Kit enables organizations to
provide Web SSO to applications running on a WebSphere
application server. Since the integration is at the
server level, it is not necessary to install a Java
Integration Kit for each application individually,
providing ease of deployment and scalability to
Service Providers.

| PingLogin 2.1 Released |
PingLogin
2.1 is now available for immediate
download. New capabilities include:
- Additional Cookie Mode PingLogin now
supports another cookie mode, in which the browser
session state is stored within an encrypted cookie in
the browser itself instead of in memory on a server or
an agent, thereby providing near-linear scalability of
both the agent and the server. Due to privacy and
security concerns with this mode, PingLogin also
provides automated generation of encryption keys, with
distribution via an authenticated, encrypted channel
in both standalone and clustered server
configurations.
- Multiple Domain Support A single PingLogin
instance can support multiple domains for session
management, which is especially beneficial to hosted
environments, where a single application server hosts
content for multiple customers across multiple
domains.
- Improved Plug-in Support The PingLogin
administrative console dynamically generates
configuration pages to manage server plug-ins. In
addition, PingLogin allows an initial authenticator to
pass identity information to subsequent authentication
mechanisms, such as second-factor authenticators.
PingLogin also supports packaging third-party plug-in
configuration data for distribution with the server
configuration at deployment time.
Also
available for download are the PingLogin
Data Sheet and Technical
Overview.
