Prior to Ping Identity, Durand founded Jabber, Inc., an instant messaging and presence management software provider (acquired by Cisco in 2009). While at Jabber, Durand incubated the Jabber Software Foundation, a non-profit established to facilitate growth of the Jabber Open Source project. Prior to Jabber, Inc., Durand was founder and CEO of Durand Communications, a bulletin board software provider (acquired by Webb Interactive in 1998). Durand holds BA degrees in Biology and Economics from the University of California.

A visionary in the development of software infrastructure for building Internet-based applications, Allaire joined General Catalyst from Macromedia, Inc., where he was chief technology officer. He joined Macromedia in 2001, when it merged with Allaire Corporation, a company he helped found. At Allaire, he served as chief technology officer under the leadership of then-CEO David Orfao (now a managing director of General Catalyst Partners). Allaire Corporation pioneered the Internet Application Server and development tools market with industry leading products such as ColdFusion, JRun, and HomeSite. Through his work at Allaire and Macromedia, he helped define Rich Internet Applications, a new model for Internet applications that combines rich clients and Web Services.

Allaire is a regular author and analyst of Internet technologies. In addition to remaining involved with Macromedia as a Founder Emeritus, he is a board member of the Massachusetts Interactive Media Coalition (MIMC), New England's largest industry association for professionals focused on opportunities created by Internet technology, as well as privately-held Lexington, MA-based Applied Messaging. He has spoken at numerous industry conferences and seminars, including PC Forum, Supernova, Internet World, Comdex, Flashforward, Web Builder, Macromedia DevCon and Demo. Allaire earned his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.

He has over 17 years of venture capital, private equity, and leveraged finance experience both domestically and in emerging markets with a specific focus on India. Raj previously worked in the leveraged finance and Asian corporate finance groups at Credit Suisse in New York, Hong Kong and Singapore and also spent three years with TL Ventures where he focused on early stage software, wireless communications and energy technologies.  Raj received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Leffingwell currently serves as chairman and director of Pelion Systems, Inc., director and advisor to OneRealm, Inc., and advisor to BV-Cornerstone Ventures, LP, Ping Identity Corporation, Sage Circle, Inc., and Roving Planet, Inc.

An authority on software development practices, Leffingwell is the lead author of Managing Software Requirements: A Use Case Approach (Addison-Wesley, 2003, second edition). He is currently working on another book, The Software Product Manager's Handbook.

Leffingwell worked at Rational Software, where he held various positions including Senior Vice President, Process and Project Management.  Leffingwell was co-founder, chairman and CEO of Requisite, Inc., which was acquired by Rational in 1997. Prior to 1993, Leffingwell was founder, chairman and CEO of publicly-held Colorado MEDtech, Inc. and its predecessor, RELA, Inc., a product development and manufacturing outsourcing company.

Prior to joining General Catalyst, David held the positions of President/CEO and Senior VP of Sales Operations and Marketing for four publicly held companies. Most recently, David was president, CEO and a board member at Allaire Corporation from 1997 to 2000 as President/CEO/Board Member. During his 1997 to 2000 tenure there, Allaire grew from a venture-backed start up to a $119 million public corporation trading on the NASDAQ. The company pioneered the Internet Application Server market with industry leading products such as ColdFusion and JRUN. In January of 2001, Allaire merged with MacroMedia Corporation and continues to be a leading Internet software company.

Prior to his CEO role at Allaire, David held the positions of Senior Vice President of Sales Operations and Marketing at Frame Technology Corporation, Claris Corporation, and SQA Corporation. Frame Technology and SQA Corporation were venture-backed corporations that successfully completed Initial Public Offerings on the NASDAQ.

Throughout his career, David has been an angel investor, advisor, and board member to several companies, including Marketsoft Corporation, Voxeo Corporation, and Firespout Corporation. He earned a bachelor's degree in Business and Accounting from Norwich University of Vermont.

His vision at MSC Software has resulted in both internal and external growth and included the completion of six acquisitions, key business partnerships with companies like IBM and Dassault Systemes and the overall transformation of MSC Software from a CAE provider into a focused Information Technology company. By providing software, services and integrated systems to companies in all world markets, MSC Software has become the catalyst in making Product Lifecycle Management efficiency a reality.

Before MSC Software, Perna served as director on the boards of both MSC Software and PDA Engineering Inc. (which was acquired by MSC.Software in 1994). During the years from 1994 through 1998, Mr. Perna served as Chairman and CEO of EOS Corporation, a high technology electronics manufacturer, and and also was chairman of Software.com.  From 1984 through 1993, Perna was President (and CEO from 1990) of MagneTek, an international manufacturer of electrical equipment. During his tenure at MagneTek he managed the strategic growth of the company from $195 million to more than $1.5 billion in revenue. Perna also spent 17 years in engineering test and computer simulation at General Motors and has held senior management positions at Whittaker Corporation, Bell & Howell and Sun Electric.

Perna holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Kettering University, a master's degree in electrical engineering from Wayne State University and a master's degree in management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management. He is a member of the Board of Trustees at Kettering University. Perna is a registered Professional Engineer and currently serves as Chariman of CalAmp, Inc., a manufacturer of microwave and wireless communication products; and as a director on Interneer, a work flow management software company.

As a Partner at Fidelity Ventures he has served on the boards of Black Duck Software, EnterpriseDB, Kajeet, Ping Identity, Polyserve (acquired by HP), Red Brick Health, SpikeSource, Vibes and Ventana.  Before joining Fidelity Ventures, Power was a venture partner with Charles River Ventures where he served on the board of Ximian (acquired by Novell).
