As a Technical Product Manager at Ping Identity, you will be responsible for driving the execution of new use cases and service features for PingConnect, our expanding on-demand service, focusing on value, performance and scale. You will have the opportunity to interact with key stakeholders inside and outside of the company with a primary focus on the technical aspects of PingConnect. You will also be one of the primary technical interfaces for third party technology and SaaS partners, understanding key integration points and combined value propositions.

Location: Denver, CO, Vancouver, BC, or Waltham, MA
Essential Job Functions
- Solicit customer, prospect and partner input (via on-line communities, customer interaction, surveys, win/loss analyses, etc.) to understand market challenges, technical requirements and act as technical expert on customer use cases
- Provide detailed technical input in to product planning process and priority of features for communication to engineering and work day to day with engineering on execution
- Conduct competitive analysis relative to assessing feature sets and underlying technology to determine technical advantages and feature/benefit analysis
- Create technical user personas and user scenarios where necessary for strategic or innovative technology products, features or enhancements
- Participate in discussions with SaaS partners regarding configuration and process details related to PingConnect service on boarding
- Support for technology based partnerships, including technical expertise on PingConnect, identifying technical integration points, technology value proposition and creation of complimentary technical presentation materials
- Creation of technically oriented materials including internal product training, external tech notes, competitive cheat sheets, whitepapers, and customer-facing technical presentations
Education/Experience:
- The preferred candidate will have a BS-Computer Science/Information Technology/Information Systems, experience with identity and access management solutions, experience in developing SaaS (cloud based) applications and at least 5 years in product management role. Background in software development and/or consulting experience a plus.
Professional Qualifications:
- Experience in interacting directly with software development teams on the technical details and execution of product releases
- Some experience in a customer facing role (sales engineer, technical product manager or field support) for a software product offering
- Previous experience in managing and interacting with third party technology partners
- Previous experience working with an Agile Engineering organization
- Experience with high transaction, multi-tenant, cloud based applications

- The successful candidate will be professional, display strong interpersonal skills and team orientation, and will be customer savvy
- The successful candidate will have excellent communications skills in all forms, including technical presentations (development and delivery) and technical documentation, especially proficient at simplifying complex concepts
